Idea Books, an international wholesaler and distributor of high quality books and catalogues is singlehandedly making books super cool again. The proof: they’ve racked up 123k followers on Instagram simply by posting images of covers and pages from the great many books it sells.
From tomes on contemporary architecture, art, photography, design, fashion, museum exhibition catalogues, old and new magazines, each image they post is captivating and very much desire inducing.
Run by a lovely married couple passionate about print, Angela Hill and David Owen, it’s a family-owned company with offices in Central London’s Wardour Street, where you can also stop by after making an appointment. Sifting through the piles and piles of old and new books and magazines is a fascinating and inspiring experience. Their range in publications is unique and rare, from the very first issues of Self Service Magazine, to the super sought-after Raf Simons book ‘Isolated Heroes’.
If you spot a title you just need to have, all you have to do is email them for prices and availability – but you have to be quick, as they often don’t have more than a handful of copies at a time.
There’s no easier way to fill up your bookshelf with publications that are sure to go up in value and will bring you coffee-table joy forever!
