Our product guaranteeWarranty Terms and Conditions: The Warranty Provider In accordance with Directive 1999/44/EC (acknowledged in Italy by “Consumer Code” with Italian Legislative Decree, 06/09/2005, No. 206), the shop which sold the product is directly bound to honour the Warranty for the consumer. It is also possible to refer to a different shop, but it is at the shop’s discretion whether or not to undertake the request as it is not the legal Warranty provider. When the Warranty applies: In accordance with Art. 128 of the Consumer Code (hereinafter Cons Code), the Warranty applies in cases of non-conformity defects of the product and on the condition that the product was used for its intended purposes. The warranty does not cover damage due to normal wear and tear, damage derived from cosmetics, cuts, scratches, loss of colour, negligence or poor use by the consumer, cleaning which does not comply with the instructions, damage caused by carriers or third parties (including airline companies), repairs made by unauthorised subjects or modi?cations to the original design. For anything not expressly provided for, see the relevant regulations set forth in the Cons. Code. Duration of the Warranty: The warranty is valid for 2 years from the purchase date indicated on the purchase receipt or on other valid document providing proof of purchase. How to claim the Warranty: Once a product defect is discovered the product must not be used any more and it must be promptly, but not more than 2 months from discovery of the defect, taken to the shop where it was purchased together with the purchase receipt and the Purchase proof attached to the product, duly ?lled out and complete with the retailer’s stamp which was applied at purchase. Should obstacles exist which prevent going to the shop where the purchase was made, Customer Service can always be contacted to obtain relevant instructions. If Mandarina Duck technical personnel certi?es that the defect reported is covered under Warranty, the product will be repaired wherever possible or, alternatively, if replacement is impossible or excessively costly, an adequate reduction of the price will be paid based on an assessment of the general conditions of the product itself. Should the defect involve a part of the product which can be repaired using the replacement parts attached to the product (Duck Backup bag), the said replacement parts must be delivered to the shop which will in turn send them to the Service Centre together with the product for repair. If the defect does not fall under those covered by the Warranty or if it is reported after the 2 year Warranty period has expired, the product may be delivered to the sales point which will, in turn, send it to the Service Centre for a repair estimate and no repair will be performed without approval by the consumer. The product may also be taken directly to the Authorised Service Centres in the area. Local laws and Warranty: The Warranty terms and conditions expressed herein are subordinate to observance of the local laws and any further and different laws recognised in each country where the product has been sold. Repairs and exchanges for products purchased from the online shopThere is a 2-year guaranty for all items purchased at Mandarina Duck. If you need repair services, please send an email to email@example.com that includes a description of the problem, the order confirmation number (this begins with W00/WU0) and several photos so that we can carry out the repairs. In the event that repairing the product is impossible, we will replace it with a new one. If the product is no longer produced, we will issue a refund. We will send replacement parts as needed within the period of the guaranty.
What shall I do if I find a defect? What happens next?If a defect is noted by the purchaser/receiver, the retailer should be notified immediately (maximum two months following detection of the defect) and the damaged product should no longer be used. If the defect is not noted within this time period, the guarantee is invalidated. lf the defect falls under those covered by the guarantee, the product will be repaired free of charge in compliance with the tems and conditions of current European and Italian regulations. If a product cannot be repaired we reserve the right to replace it. In the case that reparation is impossible or too costly, the consumer will receive a corresponding price reduction based on a technical assessment that will take in account wear, overall condition and age of the product.
Who do I contact to have the product repaired?Please contact the point of sale where the product was purchased. Please note that you will need to present a valid proof of purchase from an authorized retailer and within the guarantee period. Damage not covered by the guarantee can be assessed by Customer Service via the point of sale to determine if a repair is possible and at what cost. Damage incurred after the expiration of the guarantee can be repaired at the owner's expense provided the necessary components are still available.
Can I retum the product to a different store?Yes. However, please note that the store where the product was originally purchased is legally the guarantee provider. If the product is returned to another store, provision of service is at that store's discretion.
For how long is the guarantee valid?The guarantee is valid for two years from the date shown on the receipt (or guarantee tag, or other valid proof of purchase). Remember to save your proof of purchase for the entire duration of the guarantee.
What can I do if my luggage is damaged on a flight?All luggage should be checked thoroughly after a flight and any damage reported immediately to the airline, at the appropriate desk, before leaving the airport premises. Third-party damage caused by carriers is not covered by the guarantee. Airlines are generally insured against such damage and must refund any damage to your goods.
Is water damage covered by the guarantee?Water damage is covered only if the product is identified as “waterproof". This is not applicable to “water repeIIent" or "water resistant" materials: check the leaflet attached to the product to identify the material type.
